Another body of work I've been creating on the side is a portrait series of women. It’s an extension of my research, and documents some of the female writers, artists, and creative types of all stripes, who were part of the modernist avant-garde in the first few decades of the twentieth century. The series sheds light on their later years, and I’ve painted them in old age. The exhibition is on view in the campus gallery of University of Cincinnati Clermont College, through March 28, to coincide with Women's History Month. View the portraits here
